comments problem
There seems to have been a problem with comments on the blog. I think it is fixed now (there is only one way to be sure....Comment...). Thanks to Alain for pointing out.
Fantastic! that works! I just wanted to thank you to have made this blog, and, otherwise, I wanted to ask a couple of questions concerning the slides. On the thursday slides, I don't understand well the slide n. 45. What do mean these arrows from Dist to DP and then to NP and D? I guess they are not moves, so what? On friday slides : how to read this diagram? Is there any text which comments it somewhere? Thanks, Alain
I can't answer the question about the arrows, as I'm not sure myself - George is currently out of town but when he gets back I'll ask him.
As for the Friday diagram, I'm assuming you mean the one on page 13 (16 by Adobe's count) - that's simply a flow chart representing Choe's calculation. I'm not sure what else to say about it; you should look at Choe's thesis for the details.
Good news! let us try... if it works, I put a "real" comment!
